Present at KiCon North America 2025

Welcome to the Call for Proposals for KiCon North America 2025

We welcome all proposed talks, tables and workshops.

  • Talks are general presentations and should be between 20-40 minutes with 10% of your time reserved for questions.
  • Workshops are 2 hours in length and cover a how-to topic
  • Free Tables are reserved for makers and Open Source Hardware companies to show their designs. They require at least one person to be present at the table during both days of the workshop. Businesses (not Open Source Hardware) that wish to have a table at KiCon should visit https://kicon.kicad.org/na2025/call-for-sponsors/ for options.

Accepted talks, tables and workshops will receive free entrance passes to both days of KiCon NA!

Topics we are looking for:
- Transitioning to KiCad stories
- Library management
- Footprint Design techniques
- KiCad outreach
- KiCad plugin development
- Project Management
- Features discussion
- Custom DRC use cases

We are open to alternate topics as well, please submit with a note of how you feel the topic will be relevant

Workshops will also be offered. Workshops will be in a smaller room and we expect attendees to bring their own laptops with KiCad installed.

Potential workshop topics:
- Integrating KiCad and FreeCAD
- KiCad basics (getting started)
- Project design

Our expected attendees are engineers, designers, makers, teachers and students. They are generally proficient with electronic design in their own use cases. Most but not all will be very familiar with KiCad.

All talks will be held in English.
